Lin is the captain of a Starship “Lucretius”. Their mission is to explore the scale of the universe. They stay in sleeping capsules, waking up one day a year in order to stay young and preserve the integrity of the mission. As times passes, the endless journey through space makes the crew’s mind twisted. Engineer "John" ordering Lin to change route and return to Earth. Lin tries to fight back and in the process is stabbed by John. The trauma forces Lin to fall into deep sense of unconsciousness…

盧克萊修計畫開啟在二一零零年，那時軍方與科學家合作，派遣一艘名為「盧克萊修號」的太空船前往未知的宇宙空間，希望探索宇宙的尺度與盡頭。原是軍官的小林被指派為船長，與星體製圖師艾薇與機械師約翰，被賦予了探查宇宙領域與尺度的使命，三人協同盧克萊修號太空船一同飛入無盡的太空中。旅途中，身為船長的小林在機械維修師約翰的叛變下，船身失速被重力推往一顆神秘的行星，同時小林也被約翰擊傷...
