本專輯為同名遊戲《返校Detention》原聲帶。返校為赤燭團隊以1960年代台灣為藍本的異色作品。描述地處偏鄉的翠華中學，少年少女在颱風登陸前夕相遇。校園裡空氣滯留、山雨欲來，瀰漫著不安、壓抑與懸疑的氣氛。音樂製作人張衞帆以民俗樂器融合 Electronic 、Lo-Fi、Rock等元素，編織出遊走現實與意識邊界的旋律，牽動靈魂深處的鄉愁與恐懼，隨著角色層層迷走，挖掘出事件背後的真相。

Detention is a atmospheric horror game set in 1960s Taiwan under martial law. Incorporated religious elements based in Taiwanese/Chinese culture and mythology, the game provided players with unique graphics and gaming experience.

翠華中學，在這個偏遠山區的高中校園裡，一對偶然相遇的少男少女，在充滿詭譎氣氛的校園內受困後，試著探索、逃脫的過程。他們無法理解，為什麼過去熟悉的教室和走廊會如此讓人恐懼，似乎每個黑暗的角落裡，都隱藏著讓人難以想像的過去與惡意。最後兩人是否能平安離開校園呢？

《返校》背景設定是以民國五零、六零的戒嚴年代作為原型的架空世界，藉由遊戲來呈現台灣特有的文化與情境，使用恐怖遊戲中少有的道教文化，東南亞的神怪傳說，讓玩家體驗到不同於其他恐怖遊戲的特殊風格與元素。
